i'm alive

Tara seems to be growing taller and taller by the day. Prettier too.

I'm back from mars/pluto/venus/whatever. What an adventure! We decided to end the trip this evening at Wyong and take a train back. But when we did, we all felt kinda lost. We were looking for a place to camp tonight but couldn't find a suitable place, plus we were a day ahead of schedule and was going to end at Wyong originally, so... we came back to Hornsby. Not that Wyong, Woy Woy, Hornsby etc are gonna make sense to any of you reading this.. It's like how Ang Mo Kio, Boon Keng and Bedok wouldn't make sense to an Aussie. Ok, that's not the point.

Anyway, the past few days felt like the 10 minutes bike fitness test non-stop. Haha. But it was so fun! I don't have the photos now but will get from Brett soon. Tmr probably. We're all dead tired. We cycled up a mountain today(and the day before, and the day before, and the day before, and the day before, but today's mountain was the worst). The path was rocky and steep, and there was a sign that read four wheel drives only(can you imagine!!). Haha. We went up on our bicycles, and 30kgs worth of gear, food and water each. There was so much weight on my pannier bags that I practically fell backwards on the uphill. My knees caps are about to jut out of my legs. I'm not making sense anymore. So much to talk about.

Ok. I'm actually damn tired now, so i'm going offline. Just a quick update to let you all know i'm alive.

I wasn't expecting you back in civilisation until Friday!

(Oh wait, it is Friday. Haha. Shoot.)

So far I've only managed to fix the rudder and CB. Yesterday I sand and sand and sand for 4 hours straight! And still haven't finished. :( My fingers want to fall off liao.

It keeps raining and raining. Sian.

Good news, btw - if your mum hasn't forgotten, you are now richer. Aunty Shirley passed me your cheque cos it has to be cashed within 60 days of the date so she scared we don't get it in time.

I hope you had fun! Craig's back, btw (did you get his email?) so looks like Weds should be productive. (As long as cat 1 doesn't sound again ... storm season's begun. Though interestingly it hasn't rained!)

Not done yet, but by the time the weekend's over I hope to have fixed up the rest of the boat as well. And solved that weatherhelm-on-one-side-leehelm-on-the-other problem. I should probably ask Craig about it tomorrow.
