Since it is Ethics class now, I shall blog about my mid term break. Hehehehehe..
A few things i learnt/comments on the bike trip/stay at Brett's:
1) Always drink from the flowing part of the river.
2) Bring insect repellent when you're going camping.
3) Just chat with people. Normal people will be nice enough to chat with you. It's fun. (Does not apply to Singapore. URGH)
4) I didn't bathe for 5 days straight. :)
5) It hailed on us one evening when we were cooking dinner at the campsite.
6) Check for leeches before you set up your tent on a camping ground. EEWWWWW... Brett got sucked by a leech and it grew like 10 times in size. Camping ground Day 1:
7) Bitumen road rocks.
8) I can go uphill faster than Bob. (Ok, i'm lighter and was probably carrying less load. haha)
9) Tara is too cute and I can't wait to see her when she comes to Singapore. I'm going to bring her to the zoo. My fav photo from this trip.
10) A milkshake at a cafe in a small town is damn good after cycling for 6hours in the mountains. MIILLLKKSSHHHAAKKEE....
11) There are trucks that weigh about 370tonnes. Not 37 tonnes, 370tonnes. 1000 horse power. (Female drivers drive those trucks too.)
12) A tavern can be a lovely place with interesting and nice people. (In the aussie countryside)
13) There was one day, I drank about 5 litres of water and pee-ed only once. !!!!! You lose so much water cycling and you don't even realise it.
14) What we have is all luxury.
15) Animals respond when you talk to them. Horses for example.. cows do too.
So much to say. So little time. Need to print my homework...
